Elias Mercer was seven years old when his family left Spain behind, seeking a new life in the United States. But fate had other plans: just three years later, his sister Lucy died, marking the beginning of a downward spiral of tragedy. Years later, the emptiness and depression ultimately claimed his mother as well.

Now, at 20, Elias faces his worst nightmare: he has been kidnapped and taken to an isolated house in Lakeburg, a place that seems to exist outside of time and reality.

Among twisting hallways and whispers that sound all too familiar, Elias begins to doubt what is real. Are these walls just stone and wood, or are they an extension of the trauma he has tried to bury? What does Lakeburg want from him? And, above all... why does he think he can hear Lucy on the other side of the door?
